The following are our essential beliefs at Stacey Bryan Ministries:
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God. It was penned by human authors under the supernatural direction of the Holy Spirit, and is used to equip us in every area of life. The Bible is our authority for all forms of training and discipleship. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Trinity
We believe there is only one God, but He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He always was and will be eternally existing in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1,26-27, 3:22).
Jesus Christ
We believe in the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1) along with:
His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23)
His life was without sin, holy, and righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21)
His miracles, signs, and wonders (Acts 10:38)
His sacrificial death for our sins and the sins of the world (1 John 2:2)
His bodily resurrection after death on the Cross (Luke 24:39)
His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19)
His rapture of His church (Matthew 24:37-44)
and His establishment of the Kingdom of God upon the earth (Revelation 20:6).
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a part of the Trinity along with the Father and the Son of God. His presence is here on earth with us making us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian’s heart from the moment of salvation by:
providing supernatural power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. (2 Corinthians 3:17).
giving every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. (Ephesians 1:13).
We believe in the post-salvation experience of Spirit Baptism which is evidenced by speaking in tongues. We believe the church should operate in the fullness of the Spirit as the first century church did in the book of Acts. (Acts 1:8; John 14:16-17, 16:7-13; 1 Corinthians 2:12).
Salvation
We believe in salvation, or that we have been saved by blood of Jesus Christ, which gives us eternal life. God sent Jesus to rescue us from our sins, and through our acceptance of Him, or new birth, we receive eternal life. The new birth involves a washing away and deliverance of any sin. We are regenerated through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance from sin (John 3:3,5,7; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-20).
Healing
We believe in total healing: spirit, mind and body. Healing is accomplished in the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross and is released to a believer’s life through prayer (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:13-15).
Baptism
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a gift of power for all believers (Acts 2:4,38-39; Ephesians 5:18). This baptism results in:
a stronger character evidenced through an abundance of spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23)
a transformation becoming more like Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18)
a supernatural manifestation of spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1-11)
and a more effectual prayer life (Romans 8:26-27).
Sanctification
We believe in sanctification which is the process a person goes through to become spiritually mature by being fully submitted to the Holy Spirit. Sanctification involves:
dying daily to sin by repenting as soon as the Holy Spirit convicts (Romans 6:1-23)
living a holy life (Hebrews 12:24).
Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection from the dead in two specific ways (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15):
the righteous unto eternal life
the ungodly unto eternal damnation.
Communion
We believe in the Holy Sacraments of the Church established by Jesus Christ our Lord:
the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 26:26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
water baptism by immersion as a testimony of the new birth (Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 3:20-22).
In all our Beliefs, it is our goal and greatest desire to exude the love of Christ.
“ If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2, New Living Translation
